Luxe Padel: Elevating the Game with Style, Sisterhood & Social Impact

By That Padel Guy

Padel, but Make It Luxe

What do you get when style, purpose, and padel collide? Luxe Padel a proudly South African movement driven by representation, identity, and impact. In an exclusive chat with founders Jamila Cassim and Yumna Mohamed, we unpacked how Luxe is redefining padel as more than a game it’s a platform for empowerment.

“We fell in love with the sport,” Jamila and Yumna told us. “But we quickly realized that what was missing was a space where women of all backgrounds felt truly seen.”

From high-performance matches to pop-up activations, Luxe Padel is rewriting the rules, one court at a time.

Representation Matters: Why Luxe Was Born

The vision started simple: create a padel community where women, especially from diverse backgrounds, felt celebrated not sidelined.

Luxe Padel is tackling issues most avoid gender equity, visibility, access, and cultural relevance and they’re doing it with flair.

“It’s about shifting the energy,” they say. “We want to challenge norms, inspire change, and make padel a space for everyone.”

Fashion, Identity & Fierce Energy

Luxe isn’t just a name. It’s a lifestyle.

Whether they’re showing up in sleek apparel or running their Platinum League, the brand blends trendsetting style with fierce self-confidence.

“What you wear tells a story, “Says Jamila. “And our story is one of showing up as your best self, for yourself.”

Their apparel line is unapologetically bold designed to make women feel strong, stylish, and proud on (and off) the court.

Championing Women Through Partnership

Jamila’s roles as an ambassador for Net Set Padel and 10by20 aren’t just affiliations they’re extensions of the Luxe mission.

“These clubs believe in inclusivity and female leadership just like we do,” Jamila explains. “They’ve allowed me to bring creative ideas to life and uplift more women in the game.”

Padel as a Bridge to Community

For Yumna, padel is more than a workout; it’s a way to build lifelong connections.

“Community is everything,” she says. “Through padel, I’ve connected with people I never would have met otherwise. Luxe Padel has become a home for shared joy and resilience.”

Their youth academy is also in the pipeline, because developing the next generation starts with creating access early.

Final Words to Future Players

We asked what they’d say to women who feel like padel “isn’t for them.”

Their answer?
